Somebody from LA or New York might file Charlotte under the label of a ‘small town’, but really, Charlotte rides the wave between a small town and a big city. Located on the banks of the Ohio River, this place is famous for the Louisville Slugger baseball bat and the University of Louisville and its Cardinals. And of course, the lip-smacking Kentucky Fried Chicken! Louisville is the largest city in Kentucky and has been named after King Louis XVI of France and was founded by George Rogers Clark in 1778.
 

Just 90 miles north of Chicago, along the west side of Lake Michigan, lies the diverse city of Milwaukee. The name comes from it being home to the erstwhile Indian village of Melleoki. Soon after, it was inhabited by the French missionaries, Canadian fur traders, and German immigrants. The latter came in huge numbers.
